Email with encrypted transmission

Hamburg, 16.12.2013

Everyone talks about it, no one knows: Who can read what data is exchanged on the Internet?

If you manage your email with deLink, you can make life difficult for unwanted readers: Only transfer your emails in encrypted form to and from the deLink mail system!

keysThe deLink servers now provide the option of encrypted transmission. The choice is yours - if you want to use it, all you have to do is tell your email client (OutLook, Thunderbird, MacMail ... whatever you use). To do this, replace the names of the incoming (POP3, IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) mail servers as follows:

– bisher mail.<meinedomain> (statt <meinedomain> steht hier der Name Ihrer Domain)
– neu mail.delink-ssl.net

and activate "Encryption" in your email client. Please refer to the documentation of your client to find out how to do this. Most of the time, the client will correctly set the ports used. If not, please use

  • Port 587 or 465 for encrypted SMTP
  • Port 993 for encrypted IMAP
  • Port 995 for encrypted POP3

Access to webmail and mail administration is always encrypted: Use

http://admin.delink.email for mail management
http://delink.email for webmail

You will then be automatically redirected to a secure connection. Your access data for client, mail administration and webmail remain unchanged.
