For a few days now, domain holders have been receiving letters with the sender .DE Deutsche Domain and the word Rechnung (invoice ) as the heading. The invoice states a hefty amount for a "domain registration" - the domain name is not mentioned.
Read the small print. The footer tells you what it is:
This is an offer and not an invoice.
(The upper/lower case is taken from the original). Our advice: Off to the trash! Perhaps you could even consider whether it would make sense to report it.
